Their ideas help shape the direction and mission of our organization as it continues to develop. Read on to learn more about some of our incredible team members.

KATE DEGON

President

Kate is the Founder and CEO of ChangeSync, a software designed to manage, track, and report on change management initiatives.  She has over 13 years working in the field of Organizational Change Management. She is a PROSCI® certified change practitioner and has provided change leadership and consulting services to organizations ranging from late-stage start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. She has applied change management work to a variety of organizational changes, including enterprise transformations, enterprise resource planning system implementations, mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, organizational effectiveness/process improvement, and organizational growth initiatives. Kate is also a certified as a PROSCI® trainer, Leadership Coach, FKA® Performance Consultant, is Workday certified, holds certifications for emotional intelligence and psychometric mapping applications, and holds a Master of Business Administration.  Kate has lived in the Phoenix metro area for 15 years and loves all the outdoor activities the region has to offer.

SHAUNA RISSER

Vice President

Shauna is an Organizational Development expert with 15 years of experience delivering employee and customer-centered solutions. She has led Organizational Change Management efforts for technology implementations, workforce planning initiatives, and organizational redesigns. Shauna has partnered with clients and led teams in various industries to design and deliver organizationally aligned readiness, communication, and learning experiences that motivate and engage employees. Shauna currently works as an Organizational Effectiveness Consultant with Slalom and specializes in employee engagement, talent development and leadership enablement.  Shauna enjoys roles at a programmatic level, where she is responsible for orchestration and integration of multiple projects and support resources within one change journey. She is passionate about enabling the improvement of organizational culture and employee engagement.  Shauna is a certified PROSCI® practitioner, a certified FKA® Performance Consultant, a Certified Lominger® Leadership Architect, and holds a Master of Business Administration.

BRAD HALL

Treasurer

Brad been with Nationwide Insurance for the past sixteen years.  His core focus within the company has been organizational change management within multiple areas including, sales delivery, digital integration, project business lead, and training leader.  In his last role he was a change leader for the Guidewire implementation within the Commercial Insurance vertical.  Brad's main responsibilities included the sales distribution areas of Nationwide Insurance to make sure they adopt and understand the company’s one brand strategy.  He has recently relocated to Scottsdale Arizona and currently a change lead for the Nationwide Excess Surplus & Specialty portfolio. Prior to a career in insurance Brad spent five years as a successful business to business sales leader within the technology and consumer products industries.  He holds several professional designations that include the Stanford University Advanced Project Management Certification, Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist and the PROSCI Change Management Certification. He earned his Bachelors of Arts degree from Wake Forest University and completed a Masters of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.  He and his wife are excited about new opportunities in the area and residing in the beautiful state of Arizona.

SHANNON BUTLER

Director of Marketing

Since 2016, Shannon’s consultation work has provided change management strategies for organizations during software implementations and organization overhauls. Shannon delivers
strategic organizational analysis of technology adoption barriers during new technology integration, specifically Workday systems. She is credited with over 15 years of in change practices including training and development, learning/ performance consulting, instructional design and strategic process implementation. Shannon is a Senior Consultant and excels in employee and process improvement analysis across organizational levels. Shannon works with clients to develop risk mitigation strategies for change, interactive lessons, to differentiate instruction, and create cooperative learning opportunities to increase employee change management adoption and organizational efficiency. Shannon has multiple Workday certifications, PROSCI Change Management and Performance Consultant from FKA certificates.

DANIELLE STEELE

Director of Membership

Since 2013, Danielle has implemented enterprise-wide technology projects at Arizona State University’s University Technology Office (UTO), during which she raises awareness, leads dialogue, builds skills, and empowers project members to focus on the importance of customers’ timely and proficient adoption of the projects’ solutions.  She most recently served on the Organizational Change Management team to implement ASU’s new financial management system, during which she worked closely with functional leads to document, prepare, and deliver training to enable thousands of customers to utilize the system by go-live.  To increase change capabilities, she formed Collaborate for Change (C4C), a network of UTO staff members who partner with project leads to increase likelihood of successfully implemented projects, focusing on customer adoption and organizational support. C4C has provided consultations to over 10 UTO projects and delivered info sessions and presentations across the university.  Danielle earned her MBA from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management and is a certified Project Management Professional as well as a Prosci certified Change Practitioner.

CARY LÓPEZ

Director of Programming

Cary López is passionate about helping people flourish in their workplace. As the Chief People and Talent Officer for the W. P. Carey School of Business, she is responsible for the hiring, promotion, retention, and success of staff. Her background as a consultant in business process improvement, project management, and organizational change management serves her well in aligning processes and people, and understanding the “softer” side of organizational design. Cary is a co-founder of the Phoenix Chapter of the Association of Change Management Professionals, is one of the first 500 Certified Change Management ProfessionalsTM,  and is currently pursuing a PhD in organizational communication.
